Video Mash Up of Bonnie Bennett

                                                                                Reflection of my Video Mash-Up

  I was asked to make a Video Mash Up, which is basically a music video. The subject of my video is on one of my favorite characters from Vampire Diaries, Bonnie Bennett who is played by the talented actress Katerina Graham. Bonnie is a witch in the show who goes from being innocent to being enveloped in darkness. The goal of my Video Mash Up illustrates the subtle blossoming darkness inside Bonnie.

    Like my video remake and my photo essay, this project required me to download clips from YouTube and to use Mindows Movies Maker. I searched for videos of scenes that contained Bonnie Bennett--specifically scenes of her performing some type of spell or using her powers. Once I found the ones I liked, I downloaded them using a Youtube downloader app on Firefox. I used over twenty scenes and compressed them into this video. I wanted to make this Mash Up video to have a story, so it goes from the most relaxed scenes to the most intense scenes. Organization wasn't too hard. For the music, I used the song Your Star by the band Evanescence and placed it in the video. And the song went very well with the scenes I put in--just like magic.

     Making this video was an Interesting experience. In fact, I've always wanted to make a music video type deal such as this. I've always watched other video mash ups on YouTube and was always in awe of them, even envious of those people who can edit videos. And now, I am one of those people who can create videos and edit them and I plan on making many more like these.
