Reflection of my Photo Montage and Photo Essay    

 For my photo essay, I was asked to create a video using only images. The only set back, is that I had to collect images and organize them in a sequence that told a story. The pictures could be found on the internet or original photos. I chose to to implement my own photos that i took of my dorm complex and give it a haunting feel.

    I took photos of my dorm room, the hallway, and the court yard with all the semi-dead plants. I took over twenty photos but took out the ones i didn't need. I emailed the photos to myself and used IMovie to create the video above. I put the photos in a sequence starting with my own room, then my hallway, leading outside with photos of trees and half-dead plants; I wanted to give a feel that I'm taking the audience on a short journey. To enhance the haunting atmosphere, I stripped the colors from the photos using the grayscale application on IMovie. Then I implemented a segment of the song Haunted by the band Evanescence.

   I actually enjoyed making this project and thought that it was a learning experience. I got to learn how to operate IMovie, which could look good on a resume. So, I've developed necessary skills for the world of working and helps with my ability to be multi-model.
